From Popular Mechanics

This article takes a look back at the brilliance of this film. OK, I know, I am a bit biased since this is one of my favorite movies of all time. The sets are amazing; the spaces look as if Frank Lloyd Wright designed them; and the videography is wonderfully futuristic yet does not look as if it is a film from the early 1980s.

BR is one of my all-time fave's too! I have the Ridley Scott edition DVD (without the Harrison Ford voice-over, and without the sappy feel-good ending). The only way I can tell this movie is from the early 80s is when Edward James Olmos lifts off in his cruiser -- and the control screen looks like a lame cross between Pong and Space Invaders! :-)

Hope you find time to post more -- love the travel picts.
